Jeney Christensen offered the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
RESOLUTION OF GOVERNING BOARD SUPPORTING FORM A APPLICATION TO MINNESOTA STATE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State High School League Foundation was formed to provide support for Minnesota’s high school youth to participate in athletics and fine arts;
WHEREAS, the Governing Board of ISD 544 recognizes the value of student participation in extracurricular activities; and
WHEREAS, the MSHSL Foundation is offering grants and funding to assist schools in recognizing, promoting and funding extracurricular participation by high school students in athletic and fine arts programs.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Governing Board of ISD 544 supports the school’s application to the Minnesota State High School League Foundation for a FORM A grant to offset student activity fees.
The motion was seconded by Kelli Graff and upon roll call vote being taken, the following voted in favor thereof: Kirby Anderson, Jeney Christensen, Melanie Cole, Kelli Graff, Missy Hermes, and Stephen Vigesaa;
and the following voted against same:
None.
Whereupon said motion was declared duly passed and the resolution adopted.
Stephen Vigesaa moved to approve the Memorandum of Agreement between MState and the Fergus Falls Public Schools: Nursing and Allied Health Clinical Affiliation; effective 9/15/2025 - 9/14/2030. The motion was seconded by Kelli Graff.
The next regular School Board meeting will be held at 5:15 pm Monday, November 10, 2025 in the Community Ed Room at Roosevelt Education Center.
Stephen Vigesaa made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:42 pm. The motion was seconded by Kirby Anderson and carried unanimously.
A work session followed the board meeting to discuss Kennedy School Instructional Models.
