Kirby Anderson moved to approve the consent agenda. The motion was seconded by Missy Hermes and carried unanimously.

Unfinished Business:

  • Stephen Vigesaa moved to approve the Second Reading of School Board Policies. Jeney Christenson seconded the motion. Missy Hermes moved to amend the motion adding Policy 620 to the Second Reading of Policies.

  • Policy #519: Interviews of Students by Outside Agencies

  • Policy #602: Organization of School Calendar and School Day

  • Policy #620: Credit for Learning

  • Policy #722: Public Data Requests

  • Policy #906: Community Notification of Predatory Offenders

The amended motion was seconded by Jeney Christensen and carried unanimously.

New Business:

  1. Kirby Anderson moved to approve the 2025-26 Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) contract between Minnesota State Community and Technical College and ISD 544. The motion was seconded by Jeney Christensen and carried unanimously.

  2. Missy Hermes moved to set the FY26 Fergus Falls Public Schools’ Meal Rates:

  • Student Regular Breakfast K-12: Free

  • Adult Breakfast: $2.65 old rate (new rates not yet available from MDE)

  • Student Regular Lunch K-12: Free

  • Adult Lunch: $5.00 old rate (new rates not yet available from MDE)

  • A la carte entrée: $3.25 (was $3.00)

  • Milk Only: 45¢ (no change)

If a student wishes to purchase a second meal, it will be charged at the adult meal rate.

The motion was seconded by Kirby Anderson and carried unanimously.

  • Kelli Graff moved to approve Policy #504: Student Dress And Appearance. The motion was seconded by Jeney Christensen and carried unanimously.

  • Stephen Vigesaa moved to approve Staff Policy #433: Unpaid Leave. The motion was seconded by Kirby Anderson and carried unanimously.

The next regular School Board meeting will be held at 7:15 am Monday, August 11, 2025 in the Otter Community Room at the Kennedy Secondary School.

Jeney Christensen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 am. The motion was seconded by Stephen Vigesaa and carried unanimously.
