The Fergus Falls Middle School 8th Grade Band is working with composer Scratch Eden to create a new piece of music titled Traffic Jam! Through the Composer Collaboration Project, students are participating in the creative process, sharing ideas and providing input as the piece takes shape.

This unique opportunity gives students a firsthand look at how music is composed while helping create something they can truly call their own.

The project will culminate with the world premiere of Traffic Jam! at the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA) Midwinter Convention in February 2027, where the 8th Grade Band has been selected to perform.
