Cleveland students at Science Fair

In September, fourth and fifth graders at Cleveland Elementary attended a Science & Nature Conference at the PWLC. Students selected an elective session based on their top interest from six options and enjoyed a featured presentation on engineering by the Science Museum of Minnesota.

One popular option was an interactive session on weather science, where students explored how high- and low-pressure systems drive our daily atmosphere. Students sketched and identified various cloud formations before putting their knowledge into practice by creating their own clouds using rubbing alcohol in a water bottle. The hands-on demonstration made atmospheric science come alive, keeping students and adult chaperones alike fully engaged.
