Fergus Falls Middle School offers a wide range of educational opportunities designed to meet the needs of every learner. We are boldly moving toward experiential learning, where students engage in hands-on activities paired with thoughtful reflection—bringing classroom content to life in meaningful and lasting ways. Every minute matters, and our focus on bell-to-bell engagement is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Our middle school Mathcounts group competed at the regional Mathcounts Competition February 5th at MSUM. We competed against Alexandria, Moorhead, Pelican Rapids, Detroit Lakes, Perham, Morris, Park Christian and Ulen-Hitterdahl.Â

Middle School REACH students have started painting a mural in the parking lot of The Market, on the corner of S. Union and W. Stanton Ave. Work on the mural will take place over the next four weeks and is scheduled to be finished August 14th.

Ms. McKinney's 7th and 8th grade elective students have been discussing the concept of "paying it forward" this quarter. To put their lessons into action, they visited the Lake Region Takes Root Community Garden and planted a variety of fruits and vegetables!
These future gardeners spent a fun-filled class getting their hands dirty, learning about plant care, and contributing to a project that benefits our community. Their hard work will provide fresh, healthy produce for those in need.
We're so proud of these students for embodying the spirit of giving back and making a positive impact on our community. Keep up the fantastic work!
