PBL (Project-Based Learning) and STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Math) concepts were introduced as several classes at McKinley celebrated the letter C with a carnival run by KINDERGARTENERS!The hard working crew set up, took tickets, served snacks, helped customers problem-solve and construct balloon art, reviewed and checked letter sounds at the duck pond, encouraged creativity as kinders painted their own faces, counted circles being tossed at ring toss, but the best part of the day was celebrating with our friends!

These kiddos did word surgery (CVC words) and heart surgery (syllables, number sentences, building words and fixing sentences)!
It's the 50th day of school at McKinley School, so kindergarten students celebrated with a 50s themed dress-up day, a sock hop with 50s music, and a visit from Zero the Hero!
The city of Fergus Falls let kindergarten borrow a few trucks for the day! What a great way to learn about vehicles keeping us safe on the road.
