Ms. Strege’s 4th grade Prairie Science students recently studied land invertebrates in their prairie habitat. Land invertebrates were caught in sweep nets and then scooped into bug boxes to get a closer look. The banded garden spider eating a mosquito was a definite highlight! Insects are so fascinating!
Today the 4th grade Prairie Science Classes had a positive impact on the prairie! Removing the invasive willow trees from an area allows the native prairie plants to continue to grow and thrive.
