Debate Team Forming
Aug. 15, 2018
After a 42 year absence, Debate is coming back to Fergus Falls Schools! We will have our first MSHSL Debate team since 1976. It will be amazing!
We will be competing this year in a type of debate known as Congress, where contestants author, debate, caucus, and pass legislation. In future years we hope to compete in the other types as well: Lincoln Douglas (traditional debate), Policy Debate and Public Forum.
We are looking for 7th through 12th grade students interested in debate, learning how government works, logical arguments, and critical listening. Also, we will be in need of parent/volunteer support on occasion.
We will be having our organizational meeting shortly after school starts. If you want more information or to get your student registered, please contact Coach Donoho at firstname.lastname@example.org or 998-0544 ext. 9648.
